Bartle Bogle Hegarty -BBH
Joakim Borgström better known as JAB has worked in the advertising industry for nearly 20 years.
He recently moved from BBH London to BBH Singapore to be the new Executive Creative Director.
Prior to BBH, Jab held a number of leadership roles, including Creative Director/Director of Innovation at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy, Amsterdam, Creative Director and Partner at DoubleYou, Barcelona.
Jab is a rare mix of Swedish and Argentinean, speaks five languages and has worked in five countries to date. He has worked on brands as diverse as Nike, Audi, Electronic Arts, Coca-Cola, Google, Doritos, Barclays, Heineken, Chevrolet and on recent award-winning campaigns at BBH for Mentos, The Guardian and Samsung.
Jab is the winner of over 170 awards that include 20 One Show pencils, 11 Cannes Lions and a Cannes Grand Prix. He’s sat on the jury of 20+ award shows and is a sought-after speaker in the industry.
General Creative Director
Started his career in Bucaramanga working for PVS and Genoma (local agencies), as a copy for important brands of the region. At Bogotá he had work for agencies like Young & Rubicam and MacCann Ericsson, in the last one as creative director. In these agencies he had the opportunity to work with brands like ADIDAS, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Telefónica, Fundación Telefónica, Aires, Reebok, Banco de Occidente, TV y Novelas, Klim, Cola y Pola, Advil, Proexport , Panaca y Banco Popular. In 2014, Jhon became general creative director and partner of Harold Zea. Today is responsable of brands like Banco Agrario, Corferias, Parque Arauco, Anato, Seguros Alfa, Fontur and others.
Jhon has been recognized in One Show (Merit Award), Cannes Lions (National diploma), FIAP, FICE, WINA, El Dorado, Top 10 P&M, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Nova, Effie, Festival de Publicidad del Caribe, Young Lions Colombia, y finalist at New York Festival, Clio, London Festival y Cannes Lions.
General Creative Director
He studied commercial and marketing management at Esic and then a master’s degree in advertising creativity “The school Agency”. By 2011 he entered for a year as an editor in GREY. He was called by Young & Rubicam and stayed there for a couple of years more.
He has been in R * 13 years, basically since its foundation, and has passed through the positions of editor, Creative Director and the current Creative Director. Along his career he has worked for accounts such as Land Rover, Jaguar, Viajes El Corte Inglés, Banco Popular, DGT, Repsol, Coca Cola, Antena 3.
Co-Founder/Chief Creative Officer King James Group Alistair King is the founding creative partner of King James Group, a defiantly independent South African agency network that covers the full spectrum of brand communication.
Since it began in Jan 1998, King James has won emerging, small, medium and eventually Large Agency of the Year 2015, as well as overall SA Agency of the Year 2011. Today King James Group is one of the country’s 5 largest agency networks with offices in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. In an industry survey conducted by Marklives.com, it was voted South Africa’s most admired ad agency 2016.
Alistair has always believed in never allowing the ad industry to totally absorb you. While growing King James, he has practiced parallel entrepreneurship, owning a record label, a pop culture magazine and, more recently, a Beehive brand. He has sat at the forefront of South African creativity for close on two decades and has judged most of the prestigious festivals, including Cannes Lions Film Category twice. Financial Mail AdFocus named him Agency Leader of the Year 2008 and he is currently SA’s most admired creative leader, ranked by both the Creative Circle and Marklives.com. He lives in Cape Town with his wife and daughter, and his best mate Garp, a 90kg Great Dane.
