Christian Mondragon is a senior copywriter at Casanova McCann in Costa Mesa, California, In his experience in advertising, he has written for clients including California Lottery, Carl’s Jr, Nestle, Canon, Ministry of National Education Colombia.
He’s collected shiny awards from Young Lions, One Show, Arts Director Club, Cannes Lions, New York Festivals, Effies, Fiap, Wave Festival, Ojo de Iberoamerica, El Sol, and Ad Stars Korea. He also has served as a judge in festivals like FICE.
His work has been featured in Little Black Book, CNN, Deutsche Welle, Miami Herald and more. In 2015 he was invited to London international Awards Creative LIAisons 100: Creative LIAisons is an exclusive event to no more than 100 attendees worldwide and is funded by LIA.

Art Director and graphic designer, has worked at major agencies Costa Rica, as Publimark Lowe & Partners Worldwide, Garnier BBDO, McCann Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather, Father and NBB Y&R. Currently, he is a partner and director in “Gitanos”, provides professional advice to several agencies in Costa Rica and commercial customers worldwide.
Significant accounts that have handled are Walmart, ICT, Cadbury, Renault, Coca-Cola, Mercedes Benz, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Costa Rica Brewery (Imperial Beer), Essential Costa Rica (country brand) among others, and has participated in the graphic conceptualization of several political campaigns for major political parties in the country.
As an art director has won over 50 international awards in advertising festivals: Two grand Prix graphically two grand Prix on radio, more than 10 golds in the Caribbean Festival, Antigua Festival, FIAP, Ojo Iberoamerica, Gold and Best TV Commercial Ojo de Iberoamerica 2011, silver in print campaign, honor mention in design category and ranking #1 of Costa Rica whit Gitanos in WINA Festival 2017, Gold World Medal at the New York Festivals 2012 (in the category of crisis management) and Silver in Ojo de Iberoamerica Festival. It also has several publications in the world-renowned Art Direction magazine Lürzer’s Archive and was selected in the special “200 Best Digital Artists worldwide 2015/2016”.
