Independent Latin American Creativity is Making Headway

The Peruvian agency Gravedad and Bolivia’s Dosis Agency share their perspectives regarding the challenges and opportunities for independent agencies.

International recognition, the ability to solve business problems, and ideas that generate results are factors that set the work of independent creative agencies from Latin America apart from the global competition. Despite increased competitiveness within the industry, there are more opportunities than ever to highlight regional talent and project it into new markets, providing more opportunities to demonstrate that great ideas can come from anywhere.

In this context, 110 Independent Agencies to Watch unites and provides visibility for standout independent creative agencies, bringing the perspectives of its members to the forefront.

International recognition as an impetus for growth

For independent agencies, gaining recognition outside their home markets represents much more than adding a trophy. It means their work can compete on a global level, and translates to reputation building and possibilities for growth.

In the case of Gravedad, recognition by the World’s Independent Advertising Awards (WINA) was important to the agency’s development. “It was one of the first awards in the agency’s history. This has helped us to support all the creative work we have been doing and opened new doors for us,” says the Peruvian team.

Likewise, Bolivia’s Dosis Agency highlights the value of projecting local talent on a global stage, especially in markets that have less visibility within the international advertising industry. “Being recognized abroad allows us to demonstrate that we are capable of competing at a high-level,» the agency notes.

In addition, the agencies emphasize that global recognition has helped them build their reputation, establish trust with clients, and open up opportunities, particularly for agencies looking to combine strategic creativity, vision and tangible results. Both agree that international recognition can become a tool to strengthen the positioning of independent agencies and demonstrate the creative potential of Latin America.

Creativity that solves problems and generates results

Beyond awards, the driving force for these agencies lies in developing ideas that respond to the real needs of brands and that contribute to their business objectives.

Gravedad says their main goal is to find creative solutions that help their clients set themselves apart and compete in their respective markets. For the Peruvian agency, this means developing ideas that not only stand out for their originality, but that truly add value to brands.

Dosis Agency, has a vision that closely links creativity to strategy and results. For their team, the challenge is to solve problems through effective ideas.

“We are interested in creativity when it has a purpose. When you respond to a problem, it generates impact and you can substantiate why it exists. That’s where creativity really has value,” explains the Bolivian agency.

This perspective reveals one of the main strengths of independent creativity: the possibility of building proposals that connect creative thinking with business needs, avoiding standard ideas.

Through initiatives such as 110 Independent Agencies to Watch, independent talent finds spaces to gain visibility, share experiences and strengthen its global projection.

At a time when technology is evolving rapidly and brands need new ways to connect with audiences, independent agencies have the opportunity to stand out because of what makes them unique: their ability to provide another perspective, find opportunities where others don’t see them, and to turn them into purposeful ideas that generate tangible results.
