Learn More about the ‘Effectiveness’ Category

When it comes to clients, ‘Effectiveness’ is the preferred category. ‘Effectiveness’ emphasizes the basic, and sometimes forgotten, purpose of advertising: to generate results at points of sale and/or within people’s consciences. So, this category is results-based.

However, when it comes to the WINA Festival, judges for the Effectiveness category will consider societal impact, respect for the human condition, and the ability of ideas to surprise audiences.

Here are the subcategories within the Effectiveness category:

E1- Products. Products, campaigns, or actions that generate effective and measurable results, impact, visibility, or free press.

E2 – Services. Services campaigns or actions that generate effective and measurable results, impact, visibility, or free press.

E3 – Social Good. Campaigns or actions of public good that generate effective and measurable results, visibility, or publicity.

E4 – Environmental. Environmental campaigns or actions that generate effective and measurable results, impact, visibility, or free press.

E5 – Retail, Commerce, E-Commerce. Campaigns or actions in retail and e-commerce that generate effective and measurable results, impacts, visibility, or free press.

E6 – Summons. Campaigns that call for a cause, concert, event or activity, where the number of attendees and impact achieved with the communication can be measured.

E7 – Launch of products and services.

E8 – Brand Activation.

E9 – Small Budget. Spots with budgets below USD $5,000.
