Johan has more than 20 years of experience in communication and began his journey at a young age in the commercial film industry. After further training in business strategy and communication strategy, Johan started working at advertising agencies for international and national clients with communication strategy.
Twelve years ago, he was recruited to a larger web agency to make the agency more strategically strong in its delivery to customers. It was the first time that web production and pure brand strategy sat in the same room from day one.
In 2011, he started Sunny at Sea – a design agency with a focus on the user experience regardless of channel. From the start, Sunny at Sea has maintained all strategy, design and development in-house to ensure quality and understanding at all stages of the process. In this way, Johan created much smaller working groups together with his customers in order to cope with their target groups’ ever-increasing tendency to change.
Johan focuses today on building and changing brands into today’s increasingly emotional and digital world. As a brand strategist with expertise in the user experience and brand transfers, he and his colleagues continue to run Sunny at Sea based on the user experience regardless of channel, analogue or digital.
