Marjorieth Sanmartin

As Chief Creative Officer at Philipp und Keuntje and fischerAppelt in Germany, Marjorieth is responsible for the entire creative output of the group’s offices in Hamburg, Berlin, and Stuttgart. As a half Venezuelan half Spanish mother of two, living and working in Hamburg, Marjorieth is multiculturally minded and a true expert at multitasking and proud mother of two. She’s a proud presidency member of the Art Directors Club Germany and part of the ADC Europe. Most recently Marjorieth sat on the Print and Publishing Jury at the 2023 Cannes Lions Awards and was president from the London International Awards Design and Packaging Design Jury. And has also sat on many other leading international creative awards juries. Outside the agency Marjorieth is a passionate activist in the fight against breast cancer – having successfully beat the illness herself. A Pink Ribbon Germany Ambassador, she helps others to detect tumours in time and lends support and assistance to those undergoing therapy. These experiences inspired her (and partners) to found “Fuck it I’m Alive” – an organisation which shares inspirational portraits of breast cancer survivors. The organisation raises awareness for the fact that breast cancer can affect both women and men while also providing motivation and strength for those living with the condition. While personal experiences helped her grow, Marjorieth’s professional experience has made her a great creative leader. While studying in the US at the Miami Ad School, she was part of Leo Burnett Chicago. There she focussed on the growing Hispanic market, working for brands like Disney, The Coca-Cola Company, McDonald’s, and ToysЯus. Marjorieth won advertising awards early on in her career, opening the door to agencies in Europe like BBH and Fallon in London, and Jung von Matt in Hamburg – where she decided to stay. Marjorieth has guided creative work for global brands such Audi, Lamborghini Worldwide, Deutsche Telekom, Citroen, DWS of Deutsche Bank, and was Global Creative Director for fashion brand C&A. Prior to becoming CCO at Philipp und Keuntje, Marjorieth led more than 64 beauty and detergent brands from Henkel Schwarzkopf internationally. She believes in care, inside and out. This gave birth to her love for fashion and sports. Describing herself a “Hybrid Creative”, Marjorieth sees social media as a tool that’s part of our everyday lives. She also enjoys experimenting with AI and making all of her kids’ dreams come true.
