Steve Martin


“Be interested in everything.” It’s an approach that Steve brings to every project Eat works on – unique insight, strategy and creative content that ensures Eat delivers solutions that address the real-world challenges of its clients. With a degree in astrophysics and an early career as a seismologist, Steve saw the importance of being able to convey complex ideas in simple and engaging ways – a focus on ‘what people want to hear, rather than what a client might want to say.’ Eat Creative was founded by Steve with two partners in Tokyo. Originally an award-winning bilingual food-culture magazine (hence the name!) it taught the team the importance of ‘transcreation’ and built the foundations for the uniquely cross-cultural branding agency Eat has become today. Outside of the Eat studio, Steve can usually be found in his kitchen, cooking and making a mess with his daughter.
