Thor Borresen is the Marketing Vice-president of AB-InBev’s Colombian operation, the world’s leading brewer.
His professional career spans over 16 years in different commercial roles. Before joining Bavaria, he was part of the marketing team in Kraft Foods Colombia and Venezuela, overseeing local and regional markets. Recently, he led the development and launch of a new business unit: The High End Company, integrating the roles of Sales, Marketing, Finance and Logistics for a group of Global and Craft brands.
In his current role, he leads the development of a complete portfolio of local and international beer brands, boosting category growth and building the brands’ equity. He’s leading the company’s digital transformation by keeping the category alive and relevant among young adults, through a strategy of creative brand renovation, disruptive innovation and digital connection with consumers, customers and communities.
In recent years, Aguila has been ranked as one of the most valuable beer brands in the world by BrandZ, and the most powerful one in 2019 according to BrandFinance. The brand was also recognized with 2 Cannes Lions in 2019. The company was recognized as Advertiser of the Year in 2020 in Effies, and El Ojo de Iberoamerica.
