David Espluga (1968) is the founder and Creative Director of espluga+associates. He has a degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Barcelona and a degree in Graphic Design from The Llotja Advanced School of Art and Design (Barcelona). He held positions at Associate Designers, Bassat Ogilvy & Mather, Wieden+Kennedy and Leagas Delaney (London) before founding his own company in 1993: espluga+associates. Since 1992, espluga+associates has been awarded 106 national and international awards in different areas of Branding and Communications. David Espluga has also participated as a judge for a number of awards and his company has had more than 400 of its projects included in publications that are specific to the sector. espluga+associates is specialised in comprehensive branding projects, including strategy, naming, visual identity, 360º digital marketing and communication. Currently, David Espluga is also a professor for the Master’s in Information Design from the Istituto Europeo de Design (IED), the Master’s in Packaging Design at the Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering and for the postgraduate course “Designing hotels for the 21st century” at the Official Association of Architects of Catalonia (COAC).
