Lulo Calio


Lulo Calio’s advertising career began in 1998 in WUNDERMAN Buenos Aires. In 2000, his portfolio caught the attention of Y&R Buenos Aires, where he was hired as an art director. He worked on the Citibank, Converse, Revlon, Miller, and Ford brands during his time with them, among others. In 2006, his move to DraftFCB as a creative director allowed him to work on regional/global projects. After five successful years with DraftFCB, Lulo was the most awarded creative director in Argentina in 2012, earning two times FCB recognition as the most awarded Argentinian agency at the 2011/2012 Cannes Lions. In 2012, DAVID (Ogilvy’s creative hub) began its first steps, and it was there that Lulo took his next progressive career steps. Lulo was approached by three of the agency’s owners, Gaston Bigio, Anselmo Ramos, and Fernando Musa, and accepted the essential role of Global Creative Director, working for brands like Coca-Cola, Burger King, Unilever, and Staples, among others. Lulo’s efforts helped the agency be ranked among the top three in the Gunn Report and be Argentina's Agency of the Year two years in a row. In 2014, Sebastian Wilhelm and Maxi Anselmo, owners and CCOs of SANTO Buenos Aires (WPP’s creative hub), brought Lulo onto his team as Global Creative Director for Coca-Cola, and Avon brands, among others. By the end of 2015, Santiago Puiggari, former president and CEO of FCB Buenos Aires, brought Lulo onto his team as Chief Creative Officer. In less than two years, Lulo and his team have created awarded and recognized work for the most prominent brands of the agency, such as Clorox, Jeep, and Nivea, among others. Throughout his career, Lulo’s work has been recognized and awarded by the most important advertising festivals in the world. He is the proud recipient of 25 Cannes Lions also awards at Clio, LIA, The One Show, El Círculo de Creatividad Argentina, FIAP, and El Sol. He served as president at El Ojo de Iberoamerica and was part of The Executive NYF Jury two times. Now, he’s Chief Creative Officer & Founding Partner at Togetherwith, an independent agency with offices in Buenos Aires, Mexico, and New York. Lulo leads creative and content work and is responsible for the office's business development in Mexico. He has a degree in graphic design and film direction from the University Of Buenos Aires. He is a father of two little beasts.
