Nicci is a development specialist with expertise in the entrepreneurial and business growth sectors. Since starting her career in the communications field in 1999, she has gained experience in advertising, public relations and stakeholder communications, including running her own communications company for 6 years. In 2015, she shifted her focus to the entrepreneurial space, with the objective to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem and support the development of informal small business with a specific focus on impact and social enterprises. She has worked on projects that focus on uplifting entrepreneurs from impoverished communities in South Africa and develop support systems and products for social and impact entrepreneurs. Nicci has consulted to scaling businesses around strategy implementation and using business analytics to drive effective operations. Nicci has spoken at international events about the South African entrepreneurial landscape and growing business in complex situations. Nicci has worked with several international bodies, such as Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and MasterCard Foundation. She holds two diplomas in marketing and public relations. She is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10 000 Women programme for female entrepreneurs and is a regular speaker at local and international events.
