Diego Freitas is a creative who never bought the idea that healthcare and culture have to
live on separate planets.
He first learned craft the slow way in a very old-fashioned print shop instead of a global
advertising agency. That experience taught him to care about details and confirmed that an
economics degree was a questionable life choice.
After a short time in Madrid, he reset life in Lisbon where healthcare work found him by
accident. It turned out to be a good accident. He grew fast, learned how science meets
storytelling, focused on studying art direction and helped introduce consumer thinking to pharma
brands. He eventually stepped out of the category to test himself with brands like Nintendo, Fiat
and Heineken. Fun briefs. Big moments. And a clear lesson. Great consumer work sells more.
Great healthcare work can change how people live.
Today Diego splits his time between Brazil and the US helping shape healthcare work that feels
closer to culture than to the waiting room.
